The Ilam Society UK has aided medical materials worth amounting to Rs 1.4 million to the home district. Society chair Labung Rai informed that two oxygen concentrators and 10 oximeters each were provided to four municipalities and ix rural municipalities of the district.
The Society would be sending 20 sets of oxygen concentrators and 100 pieces of oximeters in coordination with the London-based Nepali Embassy, chair Rai further shared.
Mayor of Suryodaya municipality Rana Bahadur Rai has been entrusted with the responsibility for bringing the health support materials from federal capital Kathmandu to Ilam and distributing them.
The Society has been providing financial and material support to the disaster survivors and under-represented communities of the district. —
